Changes to Mailerlite and Flodesk pricing

Over the summer, two of my favourite marketing email platforms announced changes to their pricing structure.

So what does this mean for you?

Mailerlite

Mailerite announced that their free plan, previously allowing up to 1000 subscribers, would be reducing the subscriber threshold to 500. If you currently have under 500 subscribers, you’re ok, for now. If you have between 500 and 999 subscribers, from 23 September 2025, you will need to upgrade to a paid plan. There is a 30% off for 3 months offer to slightly soften the blow.

There are additional benefits to having a paid plan, such as templates, increased sends, unlimited landing pages and brilliant support, so it is well worth it.

In my view, the Mailerlite free plan still offers a great option for those at the beginning of their email and list building journey.

Flodesk

Flodesk is my go-to for those with lofty list-building ambitions or a large existing audience on another platform. Up until now, there has been one unlimited rate for Flodesk. From 29 November 2025 Flodesk will be moving to a sliding scale model depending on audience size.

If you want to lock in a flat rate, do so before 29 November. You can also use my affiliate link here for 50% off your first year, making it $17.50 per month for 12 months.

Flodesk hasn’t announced what the new sliding scale will look like, or if they will have a free plan that includes email sends, but I will keep you posted!

If you have any questions around email platforms and you’d like guidance on the best platform for you, drop me an email, I would love to help!
